A twelve-story office building located in the Los Angeles Jewelry District, built in 1930 and extensively renovated and remodeled in 1977-78, contains approximately 63,000 square feet of net leasable space. The upper floors are used for offices and are rented on a square foot basis. The ground and metro floors are devoted to a jewelers' mart, with merchandise leasing small retail areas and paying a flat rate per area.

The Los Angeles Jewelry District is the largest jewelry district in the United States with annual reported sales of approximately $3 billion. The district comprises of almost 5,000 businesses located on Hill Street, Olive Street, and Broadway between 5th and 8th Streets. The vendors sell designer jewelry, precious stones, and gold and silver items to consumers. There is also a very large presence of wholesale businesses that sell exclusively to jewelry stores and retailers all over the world.
